Ahmed steps down as Nadi FA boss

Nadi Football Association president Javed Ahmed has stepped down from his position.

During the Nadi FA Board of Control meeting last night, Ahmed stepped down citing personal commitments, and senior vice president Ashwant Singh, will act in the position until Annual General Meeting on 26th February.

The BOC has also named Kamal Swamy as the new coach of the Jetsetters, while Nadi lawyer and Nadi FA Vice President, Mun Sami Chetty, is the new team director.

Nadi is also in the process of acquiring the services of the likes Jonetani Buksh, Josefta Neibuli and Napolioni Qasevakatini.

Nadi plays Navua in the first round of the Vodafone Premier League next Sunday.

Meanwhile, in the Pillay Garments Champions vs Champions series Ba will host Labasa at Churchill Park in Lautoka at 7pm for the first round of the competition on Friday.

The second leg will be played this Sunday at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau in Nausori.
