Health Minister David Clark has officially resigned from his role which he has just confirmed in the media briefing at 11am.
He has thanked all the ordinary New Zealanders for their sacrifices to help combat Covid-19.
Mr Clark stated that it was a privilege for him to act as the nations health minister.
The front line workers has done a great job with the health ministry including the Director general of health Dr. Ashley Bloomfield, he said.
He offered the resignation due to the mistakes he did in Lockdown and he believes that now its the right time because he don’t wants to be a destruction right now.
