She loves Bollywood songs and American music as well, and think of herself as a global artist because she listens and sings music from around the world.

I’ve been fortunate to have performed with many great artists thus far in my career. I performed with Bollywood music producer Pritam Da in Chicago, and have had the chance to perform for over 1 million people on national television for the Juno Awards, she said.

My favorite singer in Bollywood is Shreya Ghoshal Ji. She was one of the first singers that I saw performing live and she inspired me to perform on stages as well. I have had the opportunity to meet her once, and hope to one day sing a song for her to hear.

Karishma has just released her first original Hindi song “Sansani”

My new music video is named “Sansani”! It is a song composed and produced by a Bollywood music producer from Mumbai, India.

He had seen a cover song of mine on the internet and sent me a message regarding the song “Sansani”. I couldn’t believe that this was happening to me because this dream of mine felt so farfetched and I was happily surprised to even hear that a Bollywood music producer wanted me to sing his song! but it was really happening!

After recording the song, itself, we had decided to shoot a music video for the song as well. After many hours of hard work from the entire music team, music video team, and my amazing family, the music video for “Sansani” has just been released! And it is on my YouTube channel of the name “Karishma Deo”.

The name “Sansani” was chosen by the songwriter and composer Mr Viral Kumar from Mumbai.

Just recently Bollywood has lost two of its gems Irfaan Khan and the Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor Ji and therefore Karishma paid a tribute song to Late Mr Rishi Kapoor. She sings a clip from late Rishi Kapoor’s movie in remembrance and admiration for the actor who passed-away on last Thursday in Mumbai, India, at the age of 67. Deo selected a heart-warming romantic song from one of Mr Kapoor’s movie ‘Doosra Aadmi’ originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.
